Okolona High School is a public high school located at 404 Dr. Howard Gunn Street, Okolona, Mississippi (USA). The high school serves grades 9-12. It is part of the Okolona Municipal Separate School District. The school mascot is the Chieftains. The high school serves roughly 180 students. The students of OHS have access to a career and technical center located at 605 N Church St in Okolona. Alongside academics students are able to take part in extracurricular activities such as football, basketball, band, cheerleading, and baseball to name a few.  The high school vision is to effectively educate ALL students while maintaining a Mission of providing students with a quality education aligned to states standards in a safe learning environment while aiding each student to obtain success. 

April 30, 2021 - OHS Juniors and Seniors Participate in Mock Interviews
The last day of April was well spent for some of Okolona High School Juniors and Seniors. Community member, Audra Thomas, along with the M.F.Y.M.P. (Men For Young Men’s Progress) provided a Job Interview Contest at the Stanfield Building. Each participant took part in a mock interview and the group was given feedback at the end. Trophies were given to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place, along with $50 cash prizes for all students who participated.

Zachary K. Doss has been named STAR Student for the 2019-2020 school year by the Mississippi Economic Council (MEC) M. B. Swayze Foundation, sponsor of the Student-Teacher Achievement Recognition (STAR) program. This year will mark the 55th Anniversary of the STAR program. Established by the Mississippi Economic Council in 1965, the purpose of the STAR program is to recognize outstanding students & teachers in Mississippi.
The Okolona High School senior will be acknowledged among the over 330 STAR Students in Mississippi for their academic achievements. Star Students are selected on the basis of academic excellence. Both American College Test scores and scholastic averages are compared to determine the school’s STAR Student. The STAR program encourages and promotes academic achievement among Mississippi’s high school seniors. Each STAR Student is asked to designate a STAR Teacher, the teacher who has made the greatest contribution to the student’s scholastic achievement.
