OMSSD is committed to the safety and well-being of our students and employees. Due to the number of both positive COVID-19 cases and close contacts within the 5th grade class, the Okolona Municipal School District has decided to transition the 5th grade student body to distance learning from Monday, January 10th through Wednesday, January 12th. Teachers will report to school each day for virtual instruction and planning. 5th grade students will return to school on Thursday, January 13, 2022. As of now, the plan is for our Kindergarten through 4th grade students to continue with in person learning next week. We will continue to diligently watch our numbers and make the best decisions for the safety of all of our students. Thank you for entrusting us to create the safest learning environment possible.
